Springfield Community Together

On May 22, 2012, The United Way of Pioneer Valley honored Tracy Andrew Johnson, pastor of Christ Presbyterian Church and Springfield Christian Ministries Disaster relief, for creating a Volunteer Village in the wake of the June 1, 2011 tornado. Led by Tracy and Lisa Baker, these volunteers spent hours clearing debris and helping residents of Springfield. Also honored were other volunteers, and Springfield City officials, led by Mayor Sarno, for their work following the tornado.
